We encourage our clients to explore some equally important questions:
Who will actually be doing the work in my home?
What experience, knowledge, and values do they bring?
How do they approach challenges and unexpected discoveries?
Will they listen to my concerns and respect my ideas?
Can I participate in the project, source materials, or do some of the work myself?
Will they help me understand my options and make informed financial decisions?
What will it actually feel like to work together?

An hourly rate tells you what someone’s time costs. It doesn’t tell you the value of their experience, the efficiency of their problem-solving, the quality of their craftsmanship, or the care they bring into your home.
Our goal isn’t to be the cheapest option. It’s to provide meaningful, lasting value.

He takes the time to explain your options and knows when additional expertise is needed, ensuring every project is approached with care, integrity, and purpose.

Over years of working in people’s homes, Justin recognized a recurring problem with traditional contracting.
Homeowners often expect contractors to provide immediate pricing for projects that haven’t been fully investigated, defined, or understood.
But the reality is that every home is different, and many important details are hidden beneath the surface.
That’s why Aloha Artistry developed its Project Development & Assessment process, or PDA.
Rather than beginning with a speculative quote, we begin with a conversation and a thoughtful evaluation of the project.
Depending on the project, this process can include:
Listening to your goals, concerns, and priorities.
Examining existing conditions and identifying potential underlying issues.
Taking photographs, measurements, and detailed notes.
Exploring practical solutions, materials, and design possibilities.
Discussing your desired level of involvement.
Identifying opportunities to save money or prioritize investments.
Developing a clearer understanding of the scope of work.
Providing documentation and recommendations to guide the next steps.
The PDA is a paid professional service because the knowledge, investigation, planning, and guidance involved have value.
Even if a client chooses not to proceed with Aloha Artistry, the goal is for them to leave the process better informed about their home and their options.
The PDA is where our philosophy of collaboration begins.
